We believe that Africa’s economic and political development is dependent on its potential to cultivate excellent and credible leaders with vision, exceptional skills and character. Unfortunately, in Nigeria and most countries in West Africa, it is evident that there is a gulf in leadership responsible for its slow-paced political and economic growth.

Using Nigeria as a case study, the potential for credible building leaders is rife, with her teeming youths who are resilient and thirsty for growth. Yet, while developed nations of the world have tried to breach this gap in leadership, creating programs and templates for the development of the economy continues to persist. With its teeming youth population, Africa presents an opportunity to groom the new generation of leaders who will drive political and economic development. However, the current template or style of leadership in Africa needs to be all-embracing. This can be achieved by training and mentoring young professionals with a track record of excellence across various sectors of the economy while utilising the power of social media to connect and exchange ideas.

Success of Nations was borne out of a need to breach this gap in leadership persistent in Africa by grooming youths, through training and mentorship to be exceptional leaders who will affect positive economic, social and political change in their communities, profession and state. Success of Nations and Governance is a Civil Society Organization (CSO) with a vision to build, equip and empower youths of African descent with the skills and character required to influence and deliver successful government in Africa.
